For almost 20 years, at Givenchy and then Dior, he dressed the most beautiful and famous women in the world. He re-invented the fashion industry by transforming his shows into immersive events with extravagant scenographies. Thanks to his creativity and imagination, he turned high-fashion from an elitist niche into a multi-billion-dollar global business.Galliano was requested to produce up to 36 different collections every year. With all this pressure and his long-term alcohol problem things got completely out of control leading to the night of 2011 which ended his flamboyant career.Built as an investigation, Kevin MacDonald's film is depicting Galliano's work, the multiple facets of his character and the ultimate steps that led him to pronouncing antisemitic insults. Through interviews of his closest friends & familyas well as some of the most influential celebrities of the fashion and pop world, and of John Galliano himself, Kevin MacDonald portrays the man behind the fashion genius and his journey for redemption.
